Using an iGoogle Start Page

So what is the first thing you see when you open up Internet Explorer?
The FCPS site? Your school's site? eBay?
How many seconds does it take before you're scrolling through your favorites or typing in a new address?
Wouldn't it be better if you could start right where you wanted to start, and all the things you needed were delivered to that one simple page?

With an iGoogle page you can create your own customized start page in less than a minute. Once you have a google account simply go to www.google.com/ig and begin your page. First you will select a theme for your page, set your location, and then begin adding "widgets" and tools that will collect the data you want on your start page and update it as needed.
A iGoogle page is an excellent resource for a teacher at any grade level, and can even be shared so others can access the same information when outside of school.
To share an iGoogle page, click on the dropdown arrow of the tab you would like to share and choose "Share this tab". A pop-up window will then appear from which you can email your iGoogle settings to friends.
